For the past eighty years this unique ministry has been providing for the needs of West Virginia children and their families. Originally established as a Presbyterian orphanage, Davis-Stuart now provides therapeutic residential services. As the needs of our residents have changed throughout the many years, so has our approach to serving them. However, some things have never changed; the need for a loving, stable environment for young people to grow, learn and develop insight to their problems and difficulties. We strive to provide an environment that is conducive for a young person to develop the skills to be a healthy citizen in body, mind, and spirit. We accomplish this through our multi-disciplinary team of highly skilled and compassionate staff members, a systemic approach, and the support of benevolent, concerned supporters.
